ENGLISH WRITERS

OSCAR WILDE

Oscar Wilde was born on 16 on October 1854 in Dublín, Irlanda. He is considered one of the most outstanding playwrights of London. Is remembered for his epigrams, his plays and the tragedy of his imprisonment.

As a spokesperson for aestheticism, he performed literary activities, published a book of poems, lectured in the United States and Canada on the English Renaissance, and then returned to London, where he worked as a journalist. In the year 1890 he incorporated themes of decadence, duplicity and beauty in his only novel, The Portrait of Dorian Gray.


 In Paris, Salome wrote in French, but his representation was forbidden because the work featured biblical characters, Produced four "funny comedies for serious people" in the early 1890s, becoming one of the most successful playwrights of late Victorian London.

In the decline of his fame and success, while his masterpiece The importance of being called Ernesto continued to be represented on stage, Wilde sued the father of his friend and lover Alfred Douglas for defamation, when accused of homosexuality.



After his release, he immediately left for France, where he wrote his latest play The Ballad of Reading Prison, a poem in commemoration of the hard rhythms of prison life.17 He died destitute in Paris at the age of 46.

LORD BYRON






George Gordon Byron, 6th baron of Byron was born in London in January 22, 1788 and died in Greece from April 19, 1824. It was an English poet, considered one of the most versatile and important Romantic writers. Became involved in revolutions in Italy and Grecia. 


  He made 31 works, all were very famous. It was one of the most important poets of romanticism.




Stephen King



STEPHEN KING





Stephen Edwin KingStephen King was born in Portland (Maine),is an American writer known for his horror novels. He is known worldwide for having been the author of novels such as Carrie, The Shining, It, Animal Cemetery, Misery, The Mystery of Salem's Lot, among many others. King has also written works that do not correspond to the horror genre. He began writing at an early age, drawing on recent films and comic strips.

WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

William Shakespeare(1564-1616) was a famous poet, playwright and actor. Although he was 52 years old when he died, Shakespeare wrote a variety of poems.


Shakespeare was born and brought up in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. Between 1585 and 1592 he began a sucessful career in London as actor, writer and partowner of a playing company. Many of this plays were published in edition of varying quality and accuracy during his lifetime.


Shakespeare's first plays were written in the conventional style of the day, he wrote them in a stylised language that doesn't always spring naturally from the needs of the characters or the drama. The poetry depends on extended, sonmetimes elaborate metaphors and concert, the language is often rethorical.



Most of his known work was between 1589 and 1613, his early plays were primarily comedies and histories, he then wrote mainly tragedies. In his last phase he wrote tragicomedies, also known as romances. Shakespeare's work inspired other writers such as Miguel de Cervantes, Albert Brooke, Hector Boece, Thomas Hardy and Charles Dickens. The american novelist Herman Melville's monologues are inspired in Shakespeare's, his captain Alhab in Moby-Dick is a classic tragic hero inspired by King Lear. Scholars have identified 20.000 pieces of music liked to Shakespeare's work. Shakespeare has also inspired many pinters including the Romantics and the  Pre-Raphaelite. The Swiss Romantic artist Henry Fuseli even translated Macbeth into German

PROYECTO ALDEA: COLABORAMOS EN EL HUERTO ESCOLAR DEL CEIP SAN MIGUEL




Nuestra colaboración con el Huerto Escolar del CEIP San Miguel (Almuñécar) se realizó en 4 jornadas:

1- Presentación del Proyecto ALDEA en clase con 3º de ESO PMAR e hicimos lluvia de ideas para aportar nuestras tareas al Proyecto.

2- Reunión de coordinación con el Colegio de San Miguel. Curso 3º de Infantil, Tutora: Matilde Sánchez Córcoles. Luego, comentamos la Reunión en clase con las alumnas de PMAR.

3- Tarea final sobre el terreno de colaborar en el Huerto Escolar (regamos plantas), explicar las características de las plantas y la importancia de comer verduras y frutas.

4- Tarea final en clase, puesta en común de lo aprendido y valoración de la actividad.

Fue muy positivo porque aprendieron los contenidos para explicárselos al alumnado de infantil y se lo pasaron muy bien.
